BLAKE the tiger cub

 

 

BLAKE is OOAK. He has been entirely designed and hand crafted by myself in a smoke free house. Many hours of patient work have gone into the conception and creation of this tiger cub.

 

MEASURES: 20.5 inches (about  52 cm) from nose tip to rear end. Tail measures  about 15.5 inches (40 cm).

 

MATERIALS: high quality Schulte faux fur, orange and white. Polyfil for the stuffing, with an addition of enclosed glass granulate for added  weight. German glass eyes, horse hair for the whiskers.

 

FEATURES: Blake has a lightweight Fimo clay sculpted head on which fur has been firmly attached. His eyes are of transparent German glass that I hand painted in tones of blue. His paw pads have been sculpted from Fimo clay and layer painted, for a very realistic effect. The shading and the black stripes that make the most striking feature of tigers have been entirely hand painted. Head and paw fur has been scissor sculpted.

 

JOINTING and POSING: Blake’s body has been designed with no joints. All four limbs are a whole with the body. He has an internal padded wire frame that goes from head to back, and from there to all four legs. The tail is also wired. Thanks to these features Blake can be arranged in many different and realistic positions. His paws can be delicately curved to give them a natural pose.

 

Blake owns an embroidered felt collar which can be removed.

As with all my creations, Blake comes to you with a specially embroidered felt birth certificate made in matching style and materials.
