DUSK the serval cub

 

DUSK is OOAK. He has been entirely designed and hand crafted by myself in a smoke free house. Many hours of patient work have gone into the conception and creation of this serval cub.

 

MEASURES: 16 inches (about  41 cm) from nose tip to rear end. 

 

MATERIALS: high quality spotted faux fur and white alpaca. Polyfil for the stuffing, with an addition of enclosed glass granulate for added  weight. Glass eyes, horse hair for the whiskers.

 

FEATURES: Dusk has a lightweight Fimo clay sculpted head on which fur has been firmly attached. His eyes are transparent glass cabochons that I hand painted in tones of green and gold. His paw pads have been sculpted from Fimo clay and layer painted, for a very realistic effect. Extensive shading has been made to head and body, to bring out the typical serval cat features. Head and paw fur has been scissor sculpted.

 

JOINTING and POSING: Dusk’s body has been designed with no joints. All four limbs are a whole with the body. He has an internal padded wire frame that goes from head to back, and from there to all four legs. The tail is also wired. Thanks to these features Dusk can be arranged in many different and realistic positions. His paws can be delicately curved to give them a natural pose.

 

Dusk owns an embroidered felt pillow also created by myself.

As with all my creations, Dusk comes to you with a specially embroidered felt birth certificate made in matching style and materials.
