FIAMMA the fox

 

FIAMMA is OOAK. She has been entirely designed and hand sewn by myself, in a smoke free environment. Many hours of patient work have gone into the conception and crafting of this fox.

MEASURES: length is 45cm (about 18 inches) from nose tip to rear. Height from top of head (ears excluded) to floor is 40cm (about 15.5 inches). The tail measures 42cm ( 16.5 inches).

MATERIALS: I have used a combination of luxury faux furs and Schulte alpaca fur. Sheep wool for the stuffing, with an addition of enclosed glass granulate for added weight. Horse hair for the whiskers.

FEATURES: Fiamma has a needle felted face. Her eyes are of transparent German glass that I hand painted in shades of brown and gold. Her nose is hand sculpted with Fimo. The paw pads and claws have been sculpted from Apoxie clay and layer painted, for a very realistic effect.
Extensive shading and scissor sculpting have been done to body and face, to bring out the typical red fox features.

JOINTING and POSING: Fiamma’s body has been designed with no joints. All four limbs are a whole with the body. She has an internal padded wire frame that goes from her head to her back, and from there to all four legs. Her tail is also wired.
Thanks to these features Fiamma can stand perfectly balanced on all fours, and can be also arranged in many different and realistic positions. Her feet can be delicately curved to give them a natural pose. Fiamma can sit, lay, look up down or sideways.

I have made her an embroidered felt flower necklace, which can be removed.
As with all my creations, Fiamma comes to you with a specially embroidered felt birth certificate in matching style and materials.

 

FIAMMA is a collector item not suitable for children. This creation is meant for display and not as a toy.
