Modern siamese cat

THAI

 

Thai is OOAK. He has been entirely designed and hand crafted by myself in a smoke free house. Many hours of patient work have gone into the conception and creation of this cat.

 

MEASURES: 17 inches (about  43 cm) from nose tip to rear end. 

 

MATERIALS: Schulte ivory faux fur. Polyfil for the stuffing, with an addition of enclosed mineral granules for added  weight. Glass eyes. Horse hair whiskers. Suede for the ears. Head and paw pads are made with lightweight polymer clay and Apoxie clay.

 

FEATURES: Thai has a lightweight clay sculpted head on which fur has been firmly attached. Head tail and paws have been hand shaded to render the typical siamese cat points. His eyes are transparent glass cabochons that I hand painted in tones of blue. Paw pads have been sculpted from clay and layer painted, for a very realistic effect. 

 

JOINTING and POSING: Thai’s body has been designed with no joints. All four limbs are a whole with the body. He has an internal padded wire frame that goes from head to back, and from there to all four legs. The tail is also wired. Thanks to these features Thai can be arranged in many different and realistic positions. His paws and tail can be delicately curved to give them a natural pose.

 

THAI owns an embroidered felt collar also sewn by myself.

As with all my creations, he will come to you with a specially embroidered felt birth certificate made in matching style and materials.
