Red fox  SERENDIPITY

 

SERENDIPITY is OOAK. She has been entirely designed and hand crafted by myself in a smoke free house. Many hours of patient work have gone into the conception and creation of this fox

 

MEASURES: 20.5 inches (about  52 cm) from nose tip to rear end. The tail measures 18 inches (about 46 cm)

 

MATERIALS: a selection of high quality  faux fur. Polyfil for the stuffing, with an addition of enclosed glass pellets for added  weight. Glass eyes, horse hair for the whiskers. Head, paw pads and claws are made with Fimo and Apoxie clay.

 

FEATURES: Serendipity has a lightweight clay sculpted head on which fur has been firmly attached. The head has been scissor sculpted and hand painted to render a realistic fox face. Her eyes are transparent glass cabochons that I hand painted in tones of golden amber. Paw pads have been sculpted from clay and layer painted, for a very realistic effect. The claws are individually hand modeled and firmly attached to the paws.

 

JOINTING and POSING: Serendipity’s body has been designed with no joints. All four limbs are a whole with the body. She has an internal padded wire frame that goes from head to back, and from there to all four legs. The tail is also wired. Thanks to these features she can be arranged in many different and realistic positions. Her paws can be delicately curved to give them a natural pose.

 

SERENDIPITY owns an embroidered felt pillow also sewn by myself.

As with all my creations, she will come to you with a specially embroidered felt birth certificate made in matching style and materials.
